چکیده
Calibrated data for 65 flat-spectrum extragalactic radio sources are presented at a wavelength of 850μm covering a three-year period from April 1997. The data, obtained from the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope using the SCUBA camera in pointing mode, were analysed using an automated pipeline process based on the Observatory Reduction and Acquisition Control Data Reduction (ORAC-DR) system. This paper describes the techniques used to analyse and calibrate the data and presents the database of results along with a representative sample of the better-sampled lightcurves.

High Latitude Dust and the 617 MHz - 850 μ m relation in NGC 5775
We present continuum observations of the edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 5775 at 617 MHz with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) and at 850 μm with the Submillimetre Common-User Bolometer Array (SCUBA) on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT). We report the detection of dust at high-latitudes, extending to about 5 kpc from the disk of the galaxy, and spurs of non-thermal radio emission. Th...

Observations of the Crab Nebula at 850 µm made with the Submillimetre Common-User Bolometer Array (SCUBA) on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope are presented. A variety of chop-throws and scanning directions was used in these observations, to well sample structure over a range of scales and directions. The resulting image, which was restored using a MEM algorithm, has a resolution of 17 arcsec, ...
متن کاملLetter to the Editor First detections of FIRBACK sources with SCUBA
The FIRBACK (Far InfraRed BACKground) survey represents the deepest extensive 170 μm images obtained by the ISO satellite. The sources detected comprise about 10% of the Cosmic IR Background (CIB) seen by COBE, and, importantly, were observed at a wavelength near the peak of the CIB. Detailed follow-up of these sources should help pin down the redshifts, Hubble types, and other properties of th...
متن کاملSCUBA sub-millimeter observations of gamma-ray bursts III. GRB 030329: the brightest sub-millimeter afterglow to date
We present all the Target of Opportunity (ToO) sub-millimeter observations of GRB 030329 taken by the Sub-millimetre Common-User Bolometer Array (SCUBA) on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT). This was by far the brightest sub-millimeter afterglow seen to date. The flux density at 850 μm was approximately constant up to a break that took place ∼7 days after the burst. This was consistent w...
متن کاملTowards the automated reduction and calibration of SCUBA data from the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope
The Submillimetre Common User Bolometer Array (SCUBA) instrument has been operating on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) since 1997. The data archive is now sufficiently large that it can be used to investigate instrumental properties and the variability of astronomical sources. This paper describes the automated calibration and reduction scheme used to process the archive data with part...
